A Week of Connection, Collaboration and Celebration

It’s been a busy and inspiring week for NEPO as we connected with industry leaders, explored emerging trends, and celebrated innovation across the public sector. From the ambition on display at UKREiiF, to the insightful conversations at Procurex 2025, to the well-deserved recognition at the GO Awards — we’re energised by the momentum and the opportunities ahead.

Ambition and Innovation at UKREiiF

The ambition, innovation and energy at UKREiiF were unmistakable, with public sector organisations, suppliers and colleagues all focused on transforming the North East.

We were especially inspired by the bold vision shared by both the North East and Tees Valley Mayors, setting out a future of inclusive growth, innovation and investment for the region.

Devolution has real momentum - and the urgency to act is greater than ever. It’s clear that the radical opportunities devolution presents must be acted on at pace - across the UK and especially in the North East.

At NEPO, we’re uniquely positioned to support public sector organisations with smart, scalable solutions that build capacity and drive capability, helping everyone move faster and smarter.

We were proud to see our Commercial Manager, Michael Murray, take part in IPEC’s panel: Innovative Public and Private Partnerships Through Procurement, alongside industry leaders and change-makers. The panel explored how smarter procurement can unlock innovation, accelerate net zero ambitions, create more livable, sustainable places and drive inclusive economic growth.

Connecting and Learning at Procurex 2025

Procurex 2025 gave us a great chance to connect with public sector organisations and suppliers, sharing how NEPO’s solutions can support smarter, more collaborative outcomes across the UK.

Alongside these conversations, our team also attended thought-provoking sessions on the future of procurement skills. One powerful reminder stood out: “It’s not about changing who we are, it’s about evolving what we do.”

As procurement evolves, so must we - embracing sustainability, innovation and inclusivity, investing in soft skills and leadership development, and creating environments where people are supported to learn, grow and lead with confidence.

Celebrating Success at the GO Awards 2025

While we didn’t take home a trophy this time, we were proud to be shortlisted for four categories, including being Highly Commended for Team of the Year, a real testament to the dedication and impact of our work.

A special shout out to our Procurement Coordinator Adam Gallagher who was shortlisted for the Next Generation award - a well-deserved nod to his passion and commitment to collaborative procurement in the public sector. We couldn’t be prouder of you Adam!

A huge thank you to all our amazing staff and suppliers - your hard word, innovation and partnership made this recognition possible.
