NEPO colleagues joined forces with North East charity, Feeding Families, volunteering their time to pack food parcels for local families in need this Christmas.

The team delivered grocery donations kindly contributed by colleagues at NEPO before joining the brilliant regular volunteers at the charity's warehouse to assemble food boxes and label meal kits.

By the end of the session, 125 food parcels were ready to be distributed, providing vital support to households facing hardship and helping make the festive season a little brighter for local families.

Jenny Robins, Operations Specialist at NEPO, said: "We were truly blown away by the scale of the operation and the way Feeding Families collaborates with so many organisations and agencies to ensure that thousands of families in urgent need receive Emergency Food Boxes and support packages.

"It was sobering to hear just how hard life can be for families living in food poverty, and hearing the feedback from those who received the parcels was incredibly moving. We left the warehouse feeling that we had helped to make a difference and with huge appreciation for the work that Feeding Families do."

Feeding Families is a North East charity dedicated to supporting people experiencing food poverty. Working with a network of volunteers, partner organisations and donors, the charity provides emergency food boxes and meal kits to thousands of families each year, offering hope and practical help during times of crisis.

NEPO extends a big thank you to the team at Feeding Families for welcoming us, and to our colleagues for taking the time to volunteer and support our communities across the region.
